NS BASIC Provides Easy To Use Development Tools For Powerful New Devices
July 10, 2003 -- NS BASIC Corporation announced today that its new release, NS Basic/CE 4.1, fully supports the new Mobile Windows 2003 for Pocket PC handheld devices from Microsoft. One of the most widely used commercial Windows CE development tools, NS Basic/CE now supports the interfaces that allow the full feature set of Pocket PC devices to be controlled from a BASIC program.

Microsoft's latest Pocket PC operating system, Windows Mobile 2003, enhances the Pocket PC software experience by including support for easy access to wireless networks, a powerful digital media experience, and support for developers building Microsoft .NET services and applications.
NS Basic allows developers who program with tools such as Visual Basic to use their experience to develop applications for Windows Mobile 2003 Pocket PC devices. NS Basic is a complete, powerful development environment enabling the development of applications with a true Pocket PC look and feel. NS Basic includes features such as databases, serial and IR communications, signature capture and more. Development takes place on the desktop or on the device itself.
Applications developed with NS Basic/CE can be distributed royalty free. NS Basic/CE 4.1 costs $149.95 for a single user: enterprise licenses are also available. Upgrades are free to user with NS Basic/CE 4.0. Upgrades from previous versions start at $49.95.
