New Pocket PC devices fully supported
May 11, 2005 -- NS BASIC Corporation today announced support for Windows Mobile 5.0, Microsoft's new platform for handheld devices. NS Basic/CE will run on all Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC and Pocket PC Phone Edition devices.
NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows you to create applications on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows CE devices. A unique feature of the development tool is that it can also be used to develop on the device itself.
"We're happy to be able to run on the new devices from Day 1." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "We really appreciate the development support that Microsoft gave us. We're excited to see what developers will do with NS Basic/CE and Windows Mobile 5.0."
Existing NS Basic/CE applications will be able to run on Windows Mobile 5.0 devices without modification. This allows the huge base of NS Basic/CE applications and developers to make use of this device.
