January 04, 2006 -- NS BASIC Corporation today announced the immediate availability of NS Basic/CE 6.0 on the Palm Treo 700w smartphone.
NS Basic/CE is a VB-like development tool. It allows you to create applications on a Windows desktop computer which will run on Windows CE devices, now including the Palm Treo 700w smartphone. A unique feature of the development tool is that it can also be used on the device itself. With the 700w's alpha keyboard, complex applications can be effectively created and debugged directly on the unit.

The Palm Treo 700w smartphone runs Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0. With 60 megs of usable memory and an expansion slot for more, powerful applications can be developed.
Existing NS Basic/CE applications will be able to run on the Treo 700w, in most cases without modification except for screen size. This allows the huge base of NS Basic/CE applications and developers to make immediate use of this device.
