Small footprint development tool creates embedded applications.
May 1, 2006 -- NS BASIC Corporation today announced support for Windows XP Embedded systems, using its NS Basic/Desktop development tool.
"Leveraging our experience developing for Windows CE, NS Basic/Desktop creates small, memory efficient applications which are well suited for an embedded environment." said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "The ease of use of the tools makes the time to market of applications as short as possible and keeps development costs low."
NS Basic/Desktop applications do not require any runtime environment to be installed, keeping memory requirements low and installation simple. This is ideal for Windows XP Embedded systems, where memory use is important.
Code written for Windows XP Embedded using NS Basic's tools can be easily ported in either direction to Windows CE devices.
Windows XP Embedded support is being added to NS Basic/Desktop without extra charge. Applications developed using NS Basic/Desktop can be distributed royalty free.
