"Fractabulous!" by Michael South | Description | |||
"This stack is designed as an introduction to a particular type of fractals. It shows how the fractals are generated and describes some of their interesting mathematical properties. It is not guaranteed to be free of spelling errors, but if you don't find it at least mildly interesting, I'll refund double your money (unless you were charged for it)."
And a further comment from the author: "I had a great time making it. I really appreciate all the support, the quick turnaround on getting it to me, etc, which made it possible for me to hurdle all of the initial hindrances, but what really made it possible for me to produce (what I think is) a kick-ass stack is the excellent tool that NewtCard is." Judges's Comments: "Wow! It's both fast and pretty. Great use of graphics, and it really makes the topic of Fractals come alive. This stack is ready for a teacher to use in an Algebra course. It also makes great use of scripting. You'd never know Mike got his copy of NewtCard just one week before the deadline." "Fractabulous!" is available for downloading from the NS BASIC ftp site at http://www.nsbasic.com/newton/support/download.shtml. If you don't already have NewtCard, you can download the NewtPlay.sit file to run the stack. |
