TORONTO Ð August 14, 2001 -- NS BASIC Corporation announced today that NS Basic/Palm fully supports the new Kyocera QCPª 6035 smartphone, the award-winning wireless communicator that unites a CDMA digital wireless phone with a Palm OS organizer. One of the most widely used commercial Palm OS development tools, Basic/Palm now supports the interfaces that allow the full feature set of the Kyocera smartphone to be controlled from a BASIC program.

With the Palm OS v3.5 and 8 MB of memory, the QCP 6035 can run thousands of applications written for the Palm OS platform. KyoceraÕs smartphone supports multiple wireless Web access technologies, including HTML browsers with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to provide security for confidential data, making the QCP 6035 a robust platform for m-commerce and enterprise information management. Users can also access corporate or personal e-mail accounts using integrated wireless e-mail applications.
