"The Treo 600 is revolutionizing the smart phone marketplace.", said George Henne, President of NS BASIC Corporation. "It is clearly the future of Palm OS devices. By adding extensions to NS Basic/Palm to use the additional features of the Treo, we have made it easy to create cool Treo apps." The new Treo library adds over 40 Treo specific functions. From an NS Basic program, it is easy to send SMS messages and email. It is also easy to do http and TCP/IP operations, as well as dial and access the Treo address book. The new version is available immediately for $149.95 USD. Upgrades for existing users start at $49.95. Customers who already have NS Basic/Palm 4 or bought after October 1, 2003 are entitled to the upgrade at no charge. Existing NS Basic programs are upwardly compatible with the new version.
