Kerfuffle by Alan Simpson A dictionary quiz game. Guess the meanings of obscure words against the clock. "I have been programming in NS Basic for 2 months and this game is my first NS Basic Program for the Palm." -- Alan Judge's Comments: I loved playing this game - finally, my love of useless words has become a valuable skill. Clean, intuitive, well designed. More exciting visual and audio effects could make this a first class game. Good luck with it as a commercial app! |

Bahai by Jerry Collier This app is a complete reference to the Baha'i faith, including history, important principles and quotations. Also available for Windows Mobile, using NS Basic/CE. Requires Palm OS 5 and at least 25 megs free memory. Judge's Comments: This app makes a staggering amount of information available to someone who needs a reference to the Baha'i teachings. Use of the DocReader control could have made the user interface cleaner for reading text. |

CPMoney by Ron Slater Powerful financial calculator. Does Single Sum, Present Value and Future Values, with all the bells and whistles. Includes metric conversions as a bonus. Commercial release planned for December. Judge's Comments: There is more to this program than meets the eye. The ability to switch back and forth from the formatted input screens to the calculator is a nice touch. Well thought through! |

Directory+ by Michael Verive Displays database information including Type, Creator ID, Name and more for the databases on your Palm OS device. It can also be used to run, delete or beam databases and apps. Judge's Comments: A useful utility that shows off some advanced programming techniques, including the grid object auto filling from a database. |

File Drawer by David Somach This app provides an easy way to organise those bits of information you want to keep track of. Judge's Comments: Clean, simple and easy to use - the essence of a good Palm OS app. A bit more work with the UI will help - it's almost there. |

HanDy EMR Edward Dy HanDy EMR is an electronic medical record software that allows physicians to enter and access patient records, write prescriptions and enter phone messages. It provides physicians a portable way to do charting, recording patientŐs visits and their physical examination. Judge's Comments: Does a good job with collecting data. The user interface could probably be improved. |

HKStone by William Poon HKStone is a Tetris-style pattern matching game where you work against the clock. It's a prerelease. Judge's Comments: This game rocks - first thing I had to do was turn my speakers down. Great graphics, sound and game action. |

ISOFits by Carmine Castiglia The app performs Fit Analysis, Fit Synthesis and Recommended Fits according to the ISO 286 standard. Judge's Comments: Although a highly specialized application, ISOFits is very nicely done. It has a clean, consistant interface and is intuitive to use. Features like 30 different color schemes highlight the attention to detail. |

PalmBacker by by Toshiyuki Mounai This is Backup Tool. Apprication be copied to a SD card. And related data are copied at the same time, too. However, there is not a restore function. Judge's Comments: Without a restore function, this is more of a proof of concept. |

ScoreCard by Kevin Eckstrand ScoreCard is for any golfer who likes to play money games. It has the rules for 14 different betting games built into it and will allow you to play them either with handicaps or straight up. Judge's Comments: Actually, it's perfect for the gambler who likes to play golf games. It has a dizzying variety of options, but makes it easy to keep track of the complexities and scoring. Good UI, should make the next outing more fun. |

The Order by Mizuno-ami A memory game. A series of number get displayed on the screen: you need to identify which ones are missing. Judge's Comments: Good graphics and smooth game play. Worth trying out as a good memory exercise. |
